any info. on ';FLUORO TEK COMPANY INC.'; found certificate for 5000 shares each purchased in 1973 and 1974

My stepfather recently passed away, he was a physician for over 50 years, in a safe deposit box were 2 certificates for 5,000 shares each from FLUORO TEK COMPANY, INC., he never mentioned them to my mother, she is assuming they are trash because he never talked about them. I think he forgot about them, any information would be greatly appreciated, I doubt he would have stored 'trash' in his safe deposit box.
